MIS Club Social

MIS Club is having a social at Pat's Blue Ribb'n BBQ to celebrate the end of another semester. It will take place from 5:30 to 7:00 on November 26th. The newly elected officers will be recognized as well as the scholarship winner. Food will be served.

This semester MIS club is giving away one $1000 scholarship to members who excel in the classroom and have high involvement with club activities. Applications can be found on the "Scholarship" page in the "Opportunities" menu.

Careers in MIS

MIS Club is holding a workshop titled "Careers in MIS” to provide information about the opportunities that exist in today’s workforce. This event, which takes place Sept. 5, 2007 in KSU Student Union Room 212, will provide information about choosing MIS as a major, learning about internship opportunities, and finding the company that is right for you. Presenting at this workshop are college recruiters and recent grads from ConocoPhillips, Cerner, and Deloitte. Not only is this is a great opportunity to learn about careers in technology from some of the best companies to work at but a chance to get valuable information from recent hires and college recruiters just before career fair.
