The College of Business Administration at Kansas State University has shown interest in promoting opportunities that have state wide economic impact. That effort will expand as a result of a successful grant application to the Kansas Board of Regents. CBA will be obtaining and installing videoconferencing equipment as part of the Kan-ED Technology and Equipment Grant program. CBA will be using the equipment to develop education and research collaborations among three of the four Kan-ed constituents including universities/community colleges, hospitals and school districts. Dr. Roger McHaney, Professor of Management, will lead the effort. Faculty in the CBA will use the equipment to Mr. Jay Holt, CBA’s Information Technology Director, will lead the technical efforts insuring that the videoconferencing equipment will be available to faculty and advisors in several conference rooms to avoid scheduling conflicts and encourage greater use. The Management Information Systems Club will be assisting as necessary so student’s gain valuable experience as well as contributing financially to acquire and install CBA’s videoconferencing capability.
