| The MIS Curriculum does an excellent job of giving MIS students a broad view of the fields of technology and business. Today we spotlight one class that gives students exposure to the field of Systems Analysis. Mangt 656 - Systems Analysis & Design is taught by Dr. Bongsug Chae, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management. The course covers an in-depth study of systems analysis techniques viewing information systems as an integral component of organizational strategic planning. Emphasis is placed on systems planning, the use of CASE tools, process and data modeling, and quality and systems reengineering. The class gives students a chance to participate on project teams which exercise all of the major concepts of systems design while developing an information system for a local business. | | back | | |
