| On March 31st the MIS Club will be participating in a LAN party with ACM and KSLUG. The event has been officially named Late Night at Nichols Hall: LAN Party and more information can be found at http://www.cis.ksu.edu/lan/. We invite all MIS Club members and anyone else that is interested to attend. The event will begin at 8:30 PM. Please be sure to read through the information posted at the link. | Next Thursday the MIS Club will be traveling to Kansas City to visit Perceptive Software. Perceptive was recently named the "Best Place to Work in Kansas City" for 2005 by the Kansas City Business Journal. Founded in 1988, Perceptive Software, Inc. develops document imaging, management and workflow software solutions that simplify document management processes by delivering secure, digitized versions of paper and other electronic documents while leveraging existing applications. Two current K-State seniors will soon be joining Perceptive Software. Jamie Barnes will be joining Perceptive for a summer internship in the development department, and Mike Morrell, will join Perceptive as an Implementation Consultant after graduation. Currently K-State uses the ImageNow integrated Document Management, imaging, and workflow solution in various departments which was developed by Perceptive Software.
