| The MIS Club is developing a prototype system for KSU therapy faculty as part of a subcontract to the Kansas Regents Educational Communications Center. The system will support practicing therapists statewide with a customized web-based, distance education capability that also tracks the progress of participating therapists. The Project Team will participate in the development of the prototype web-based capability along with existing project organizations. The Project Team will have primary responsibility for taking components designed and documented by other partner organizations and developing a prototype software capability that fulfills the design by the end of May 2006. The web-based software system will be developed so that statewide family therapists may use the prototype for educational support. The prototype will focus on module one but will be developed so that in the future any number of modules can be developed and used. The software will uniquely identify users, track progress, offer content, permit interaction among users with common interests, determine pre/post content success, and conform to the look and feel identified by other partners. In addition, while this initial software product will be considered a prototype, efforts will include developing a capability that makes it possible for an administrative group to monitor progress of individual therapists, identify access rights for individuals, and identify content for module one through a usable web-based, database driven capability that is a separate software component. | | back | |
