This week’s member update comes from Nicolas Kline, MIS Club Director of Operations.
This summer I have been working as an Intern with a company in Kansas City called Protiviti, Inc. Protiviti is a business risk consulting firm, and you can learn more about them at the MIS Club Career Fair Social this coming semester. I work in the Technology Risk practice, doing things like network security testing and software control analysis. The people are great and I`ve been having fun. Protiviti has given me an opportunity to travel around the Midwest a little, working on different projects in different cities. I`m really learning a lot and I like the work.
Besides work, though, some of my summer highlights have been a motorcycle trip I took to South Dakota for a friend`s graduation party, and a 24 hour road trip my brother and I took to see the U.S. Grand Prix in Indianapolis. I`m also following the World Cup (which I only get to do every 4 years), and spending some time with my family.
