| Unfortunately the University reached a decision in late June that the space that was originally created as a multidisciplinary location to encourage student development efforts by the MIS Club and the College of Business Administration to allocate that space to another University organization. The Club had to quickly move the contents of the Development Center to storage. | | back | | |
The MIS Club was responsible for securing videoconferencing equipment to be installed on the third floor of Calvin Hall. The equipment will be on moveable cart so that it can be used in the main conference room, the secondary conference room and the computer classroom. The Club prepared the grant and is providing the required matching funds for the equipment. A large, fixed panel display will be installed in the main conference room. Existing television and projection systems will be used in the other rooms.
The timing couldn`t have been any better. MANGT 686, the MIS capstone course, will be taught this fall in a unique fashion led by Cerner. K-State will participate along with several other regional universities (Missouri, KU, Iowa State, Baker and others) in live, multi-site videoconferences. K State will split the capstone students into two groups based on student interests. One group will participate and compete in the Consulting course. The other group will participate and compete in the Software Development course. | | back | |
