Despite icy road conditions, the new MIS Club Board of Directors met earlier this week to discuss goals for the New Year. One major goal is to increase MIS Club awareness throughout the school of business and the university. Many MIS students didn’t join MIS Club because they were unaware of the scholarships, networking, prizes, experience, and other benefits the MIS Club provides to its members. In addition to projects and corporate speakers MIS Club also plans to sponsor a semiannual bowling and pool competition. Teams will be determined based on which MIS course you are currently taking. The professor from the winning course will receive a trophy which is kept until the competition is repeated next semester.
In 2007 MIS Club looks forward to continuing its tradition of serving its members and giving them a competitive advantage in the workforce.
