Hello,
This is Zach McMahon, Corporate Relations Officer of MIS Club. This summer has proven to be very busy for me as I am in the first weeks of my internship at American Century Investments (ACI) in Kansas City, MO. I am working with the Voice Team in the Network Services department of IT here at ACI. The team I work with manages the phones and phone services for the 2000+ employees here. I have gotten exposure to vast varieties these ranging from POTS (plain old telephone service) to VOIP phones. With the types of information that this investment company exchanges over a phone line, phone security and network accountability are vital. People are literally on-call in the event that something goes amiss. As far as Kansas City goes, I have been having a great time despite the 90 minutes of driving I do per day to commute. Even with the pay and program being quite enjoyable, I can’t wait to get back to Manhattan.
