The new MIS Club Board of Directors met for the first time over break. The purpose of our meeting was to figure out where we would like to see the club go during our term as the Board of Directors and how to get there. We came up with some goals that we thought would help us get where we would like to be by the end of our term. Our goals included: raising attendance to club meetings, networking with other MIS clubs around the country, and increasing the number of projects we participate in. We plan on doing this by getting the word out about how rewarding MIS Club can be and encouraging more out of our members.
We also decided that we will be holding the MIS Club Olympics again which includes a bowling and pool competition. Teams will be determined based on which MIS course you are currently taking. The professor from the winning course will receive a trophy which is kept until the competition is repeated next semester.
